BACKGROUND

Information: Alice Reisz, teacher of Hungarian dance.


Alice Reisz was for years the leading Hungarian folk dance teacher in North America, teaching at camps and workshops across the continent including the Stockton Folk Dance Camp, for which she taught more than three years, and the Maine Folk Dance Camp.

Dances Alice taught include Alsónémed Couple Dance, Aprozo, Bagi Csoportánc, Bazsa Mári Libája, Csárdás, Felsötárkányi, Gencsapát Verbunkos, Kalocsai Group Dance, Kapuvári Verbunk, Kassa Verbunkos, Lócás, Matyá, Palóc Csárdás II, Sajonemeti Parostánc, Szatmári, Szatmári Karikáózo, Szazforintós Csárdás, Tápéi, Tápéi Verbunk, and Tunyogamotolcs.
